Lol, yes I have to agree that sins were build to be a hit and run class. But you are 100% wrong when you say they cannot be a tanking class. A enchant sin as the one I run on player verses environment can easily tank through any situation. [Free Falling's Advice to Sin tanking! Step 1) Cast Critical Agility Step 2) Cast Way Of Perfection Step 3) In heavy melee damage area's apply Critical Defenses Step 4) Apply Mystic Regeneration Step 5) If all else fails have your Protection monk lay a few enchants on you and cast Mystic regeneration again!] Another reason sins can be a tanking class is because of critical strikes. A sin with max critical strikes can keep a excellent amount of energy and do high end damage potentially out damaging Dervish's & other tanking class such as warriors.
A response you might have! But if your facing necromancers and or mesmers they can dispel your enchants! yes but as I said a protection monk can go a long way to keeping you alive. especially with the boost of mystic regeneration. Sins are not a bad class at all I have been dropped from groups before, called a nub, and been repeatedly harassed by players of the guild wars community for having a main as a sin. But as people should know any class can be played efficiently if know how to be correctly used. I am not saying an enchant sin is the salvation to all sin problems it is mearly an example.
To get back on subject I rarely see in Player verses environment: Mesmers, Sins, and Paragons.
I rarely see in Player verses Player: to be truthful its only paragons I see a large mix of classes in player verses player.
please don't mind my /rant it just upsets me when people bash on my favorite class Sins are used and abused I must say.

Sin's, Mesmer's and Rit's ... you can never find a good Monk either usually... unless I use my hero's.

Top 3 is hard to say, but Paragon is for sure the less played profession. You can easily see that in popular outposts and in RA. At the same time is plenty common as secondary profession.

The most hated classes are the most original ones. Mesmer, Dervish, Assassin, Ritualist, Paragon.
All right for being pathetic, guys!
Sure, you can argue that assassin=rogue since most of you seem to play WoW and like it better than GW anyways despite posting here...
And the paragon would be the paladin since its..holy...
And oh, the ritualist is unoriginal because it has links to the dead! Like a necromancer!
And mesmer just fails because it takes skill to use.
The dervish fails because it is also more of an original class!
[End Sarcasm].

#1. goes to Paragons. #2 goes to Mes in PvE general, because both are used allot in high end areas or PvE. As for PvP, Paragons #1 again and #2 Rit's that aren't Flag runners for GvG.

You took the words right off my fingers. I think that some of you are confusing popularity with 'good'. Popularity does not equate to 'good', nor will it ever.
I really don't get why some of you Rits out there take offense to our profession being unpopular. Maybe it's just me, but I like standing out in a crowd and going against the traditional RPG class grain. Besides, PuG mentality will always look down upon anything that isn't 100% efficient, 100% of the time (this is, of course, largely dependent on 'flavor of the build' criteria). There's a reason why some of us prefer H/H and guilds, after all. Furthermore, I find it pretty laughable that in a game, which supposedly promotes skill set versatility, the profession that embodies this concept the most is generally shunned.

Anyhow, back on the original topic...
I'm not sure what you guys are playing, but I see Dervishes all over the place. So long as there's a Death motif in any game, there will always be those 'Xx Deth Reeper Xx' types running around.
Based on my observations, the three least used professions for general PvE play would be:
1. Mesmers
2. Ritualists
3. Assassins

Most versatile class, can shut down basically anything. And look good while doing it.

Heres mine. >_< They are in no order... I just hate them all together. My first character I made when I first started out in GWs was a mesmer. I loved her so much. Used to spoil her with every set there is in game. D: Until my bf deleted her when she hit 33 months old. >_> What a waste of time. Bleh...

Interesting. Based on the OP's post and title, he is talking about least SEEN professions, ones people seem to PLAY the least. Not a "this profession sux" tard-fest. Reading is Fundamental.
